Popular wrestling fan Rick Achberger, known to many as Sign Guy, passed away yesterday.

His death was announced by Lance Peterson, who wrote that Achberger had tackled some health issues a few years ago but things went downhill quick last month.

Always sporting a red cap, a blue shirt, and a white t-shirt underneath, Achberger had funny signs and interacted with many WWE Superstars along the years.

“Saddened to hear of the death of Rick Achberger, known to the WWE Universe as ‘Sign Guy.’ For decades, Rick was a fixture at events holding a sign that expressed exactly how he felt about you that given evening,” Triple H wrote on X. “He will be missed by the entire @WWE family. We send condolences to his family and friends.

Even John Cena paid tribute to Achberger, who wrote that “Sign Guy” worked as hard as any of them to spread joy and encourage escaping whatever burden life threw you.

“Loss affects us all differently. As I process this, I choose to reflect on “Sign Guy” ALWAYS making my days better,” he added.
