WWE signs the artist formerly known as La Sombra from CMLL

WWE today announced that it has signed Manuel Alfonso Andrade Oropeza, of Mexico City, the man formerly known as La Sombra to a developmental deal and will be reporting to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

Oropeza signed with CMLL in 2007 and held the CMLL Trio and Tag Team titles and the NWA Welterweight and Middleweight titles. He has also wrestled for New Japan Pro Wrestling, winning the NJPW Intercontinental title in 2013.

The 26 year old luchador usually sports a mask but he has been photographed without one for the WWE.COM story.
