Goldberg vs Lesnar officially announced for the Survivor Series

The Goldberg vs Brock Lesnar match was officially announced today for the Survivor Series on WWE.COM.

The match has been a lock for quite a few weeks now and the company decided to go ahead and pull the trigger now instead of WrestleMania so it coincides with the release of the WWE 2K17 video game, where Lesnar is the cover Superstar and Goldberg was the pre-sale downloadable character.

The whole thing started on television when Goldberg appeared on ESPN’s SportsCenter and said that he’d love another match with Lesnar. The next week on Raw, Paul Heyman issued a challenge to Goldberg, telling him to step out of fantasy and face the beast again. Goldberg accepted the challenge when he came back on Raw last week and fans in Denver gave the former WCW champion a dream return.

Lesnar and Heyman were supposed to reply to what Goldberg said on Raw yesterday however their segment ended abruptly.

The Survivor Series takes place on November 20 from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto. It’s sponsored by WWE 2K17, Mattel, and Hulu.
