WWE to screen England match at O2 Arena after Smackdown tapings

WWE has reached a deal with FIFA and the O2 Arena to screen the England World Cup game against Ghana live right after the Smackdown tapings end next week. The event will be sponsored by American beer Budweiser.

WWE will be holding a rare Smackdown tapings on a Tuesday in London on June 23 but the date clashes with England’s second match in this FIFA World Cup tournament, and no one messes with football in England!

Smackdown will be taped earlier in the day to avoid a head-to-head encounter with the football game, but now fans attending the show can hang inside the O2 Arena to watch the full game on the big screens. Doors for Smackdown open at 4:30PM local time.

This will be the first time that the arena will screen a live football match for fans.

Tickets for this Smackdown tapings are available at AXS.COM.
