WWE to hold double Raw and Smackdown tapings tonight in Ottawa

WWE will have double Raw and Smackdown television tapings this week, both tonight and this coming Friday.

Tonight’s show in Ottawa, Canada will be followed by a Smackdown tapings and due to this, Raw will kick off live at 6PM ET worldwide, two hours earlier than usual. The Smackdown tapings will then air this Friday night on USA Network in the U.S. and Netflix everywhere else.

Then on Friday, August 28, WWE will once again run a double taping, starting with Raw first and then Smackdown at the Rocket Arena in Cleveland. That Raw taping airs on Monday, August 31 in its usual 8PM time slot on Netflix and then the Smackdown tapings airs on Friday, September 4.

There will be no live events of any kind between Monday, August 31 and Saturday, September 5, with WWE returning live on Sunday, September 6 with Sunday Night’s Main Event.

The break is mainly for Labor Day week and also before a busy few weeks with the South American tour and the return of non-televised live events in October and November.
