WWE Tag Team titles to be defended in a six-pack ladder match at WrestleMania 40

The Undisputed WWE Tag Team titles will be decided in a six-pack tag team ladder match at WrestleMania.

Raw GM Adam Pearce and Smackdown GM Nick Aldis made the joint announcement last night on Raw much to the disappointment of the current tag team champions The Judgment Day.

A series of qualifying matches will be taking place leading up to WrestleMania where teams will advance to the match. The first qualifying matches announced are Otis and Akira Tozawa vs Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa vs Brutus and Julius Creed, and The Miz and R-Truth vs Veer Mahaan and Sanga.

The last ladder match at WrestleMania came in front of no audience at WrestleMania 36 featuring John Morrison, Jimmy Uso, and Kofi Kingston where the three wrestled without their tag team partner for the Smackdown Tag Team titles.
