A mini tournament to determine who will take on Sol Ruca for the WWE Speed women’s title was announced last night on NXT.

It was NXT General Manager Ava who made the announcement, selecting Candace LeRae from the main roster, Faby Apache from AAA, Laney Reid from NXT, and Xia Brookside from TNA.

LeRae will battle former NXT star Brookside on next week’s episode while Apache takes on Reid in the other qualifier. The winners of those two matches then meet in the final where one woman will move on to face Sol Ruca at No Mercy.

The men and women Speed titles were moved to NXT after the contract between WWE and X ended for the show with no renewal.
