WWE reportedly returning to live TV broadcasts from August 21

Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com is reporting that starting from August 21, which would be the Smackdown before SummerSlam, WWE will resume live broadcasts for Raw, Smackdown, and NXT.

In late April, WWE announced that all programming would be filmed in advance at the Performance Center. In early July, WWE extended that policy to run through SummerSlam.

The original taping schedule called for the August 21 episode of Smackdown to be taped on August 17 along with an episode of Monday Night Raw that was supposed to air later in the night.

WWE has saved millions in production and travel expenses by filming two weeks worth of shows in a span of three days every fortnight.
