WWE Network’s new home Peacock was $914 million in the red for 2020

Peacock, WWE Network’s new home in the United States, had an adjusted loss of $914 million in 2020 according to a story in Variety while it contributed $118 million in revenue to NBCUniversal. The figures were part of Comcast’s 8-K filing report.

The parent company is investing more than $2 billion in the streaming service till the end of 2021 with projections for a break-even point by 2025.

Peacock, which has 33 million subscribers, will welcome the WWE Network on March 18 and beginning in April, it will be the exclusive home for the Network in the United States. Out of those 33 million though, it’s not known how many are paid subscribers.

NBCUniversal is reportedly paying more than $1 billion over a five-year period for rights of all the WWE Network.
