WWE Main Event moves to Rumble in new media rights deal

Variety reported today that the WWE has inked a deal with streaming service Rumble to become the new home of their weekly series Main Event.

Main Event currently airs on YouTube but moves to its new home on Wednesday, October 14 and will air every Wednesday at 8PM ET.

“Serving a digital-first audience is a core focus for WWE, and Rumble has built an accessible platform that is committed to delivering premium sports and entertainment programming,” said Alex Varga, WWE Executive Vice President.

“WWE Main Event will be a key pillar in Rumble’s expanding sports programming lineup.” said Claudio Ramolo, Rumble’s Chief Content Officer. “WWE content has consistently ranked among the most-watched programming on television, top streaming platforms and social media for decades — a rare combination that resonates with both fans and advertisers alike. This partnership reflects Rumble’s ongoing commitment to bringing our users the very best in sports, entertainment and beyond.”

A few episodes of Main Event have been uploaded to the service already, with future shows airing on the WWE channel at https://rumble.com/WWE.
