WWE lining up The Rock for Survivor Series 2021

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE is planning to engage with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for an appearance at this year’s Survivor Series in November, a pay-per-view which is expected to be held in Brooklyn, New York.

A Johnson appearance at the Survivor Series would certainly lead up to the much-rumored match between him and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, and a match between the two has been in the pipeline for a while. The eventual match at the AT&T Stadium in Texas would likely break another indoor attendance record although a match at WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles would be more of an ideal location considering Johnson’s Hollywood connection.

At 49 years of age, time is catching up with the People’s Champion and if he were to have one more match, it has to come soon.

But booking Dwayne Johnson for multiple appearances leading up to a show will not be an easy task and will involve a lot of planning. Johnson is one of the busiest men in Hollywood, with movies and TV shows never ending for him. The issue of insurance is also a sticky point, especially if Johnson will be filming a movie around that time of the event.
