WWE fires its Executive Vice President of Programming, Matthew Singerman

WWE has apparently fired Matthew Singerman who has served as Executive Vice President of Programming and played a major role in the WWE Network.

Singerman was hired back in November 2013 in a new role and given the responsibility for the strategic development of content, including original, unscripted and scripted shows, scheduling of all programming and operations across all distribution platforms, including the WWE Network.

It’s not known why Singerman was let go from his role just six months after his appointment.

Before joining WWE, Singerman held senior level positions at Fox News Channel, TV Guide Network and Reelz Channel. He reported directly to WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon.
