WWE already broke all-time gate record with WrestleMania 40 tickets

Action Network HQ sports reporter Darren Rovell wrote on X today that WWE broke its all-time gate record for WrestleMania 40 on the first day of general sale.

Tickets went on pre-sale on Tuesday and then on general sale this morning and with higher prices, WWE has exceeded the $21.5 million that WrestleMania 39 in Los Angeles generated as gate revenue.

Rovell added that the company moved over 90,000 tickets so far for the two-night WrestleMania. The Lincoln Financial Field will be able to hold just over 60,000 fans and it’s a smaller stadium than this year’s host, SoFi Stadium.

The general tickets that went on sale today were largely labeled “official platinum” with inflated prices, including $300 for limited view seats in the nosebleeds. Combo tickets are pretty much sold out with only a few tickets remaining between $3,000 and $10,000. The cheapest available seat for night one is $600 while the cheapest for night two is $500. All seats are labeled platinum, regardless of the section.
