WrestleMania 29 tops $10 million in gate money so far

WrestleMania 29 is already the top grossing event in professional wrestling history with a gate of over $10 million.

WWE sold over 52,000 tickets from the moment the pre-sale kicked in on Thursday and the stadium is not even close to being sold out yet so the $10 million will increase once more tickets are released and sold. The MetLife Stadium will be configured to hold just over 70,000 fans and gate money is expected to reach the $12 million mark if all the tickets are sold.

The high priced ringside and floor seats are certainly contributing to the massive gate with the first four rows selling for $2,000 per seat, a $1,000 increase over last year’s ringside seats.
