Will Ospreay says he’s “open” to joining WWE when his NJPW contract expires

Speaking to UK-based Metro newspaper, British star Will Ospreay said that he is open to join WWE once his contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling expires in February, having previously said he will be exploring every single option on the table before making a decision.

Ospreay in the past turned down the idea of moving to the United States permanently but after talking with his other half and friends about it, he said that he’s open to all avenues now, especially since age is also becoming a factor.

“It’s on the table, that’s all I can really say,” the IWGP United States Heavyweight champion said when he quizzed about potentially going to WWE. “That means I am open to all options going forward.”

Ospreay recently appeared for Impact Wrestling at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view and also several times for All Elite Wrestling, including at All In and WrestleDream.

“I’ve never had the machine behind me. I’ve never had guys tell me to walk this way, talk this way, look to the hard cam at all times,” he said when talking about WWE. “I’ve always done things on my own, I’ve gambled by myself and everything I’ve ever done has been off my own back.”
