WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon underwent surgery for an injury he suffered while doing training reports WWE.COM. Due to the surgery, McMahon did not attend Raw last night and won’t be at Smackdown tonight.

The WWE.COM statement says that McMahon will be back in the office at WWE Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut on Wednesday.

While WWE did not specify what injury McMahon suffered, Dave Meltzer of the Observer says that the belief is that he suffered a torn quad while doing squats. McMahon is no stranger to torn quads as he tore both of them at the 2005 Royal Rumble.

On that day, after the ending was messed up with Cena and Batista, McMahon marched down the ramp to give instructions and then as soon as he stepped in the ring, he fell backwards and couldn’t stand up!
