Dom Mysterio is receiving an AAA Mega Championship match against El Hijo del Vikingo at the upcoming WWE/AAA Worlds Collide in September.

Coming off Saturday’s four-way main event, WWE announced that Mysterio is next in line for the belt and judging by the reaction for Mysterio from the crowd during the weekend, this will be a popular decision.

Mysterio was one count away from winning the title on Saturday but AJ Styles ruined the party by breaking the pin after he pulled the referee. Styles then delivered the Styles Clash on Mysterio and Vikingo followed with the 630 splash for the win.

The supposed face of AAA was booed by his own people when celebrating keeping the title. Mysterio, on the other hand, received a thunderous ovation when he came out and in the closing moments of the match.
