Two new matches were announced for Backlash 2026, with the card now featuring five matches. Typical WWE PLEs which are not part of the big five are usually five matches so the card could be complete.

The United States title will be on the line as Trick Williams defends against former champion Sami Zayn, plus The Miz and Kit Wilson team up to take on Danhausen and a partner he has to find.

These two matches join Seth Rollins vs Bron Breakker, Iyo Sky vs Asuka, and Roman Reigns vs Jacob Fatu for the WWE title.
