Tribute to the Troops Smackdown live tonight on FOX

Tonight’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown on FOX will be themed as Tribute to the Troops, with the show taking place live from the Amica Mutal Pavilion in Providence, Rhode Island.

One reader told us that WWE has donated a lot of tickets to West Point and Annapolis so there should be a sizable military crowd on hand tonight, especially with the Rhode Island Convention Center next door housing the Naval Academy Midshipmen.

Announced for tonight is none other than CM Punk, who will make his first Smackdown appearance since January 2014. Punk is also scheduled to be on Monday Night Raw next week.

Four matches have been promoted so far, with Dragon Lee vs Santos Escobar and Bobby Lashley vs Karrion Kross in the U.S. title tournament, plus Charlotte Flair vs Asuka, and Randy Orton joins LA Knight against Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa.

In addition, Cody Rhodes is being brought over for the broadcast as well making this a very loaded episode of Smackdown!
