The TNA World title will be defended in the main event of tonight’s NXT on CW as champion Trick Williams puts up his gold on the line against Mike Santana.
This is the second time that the TNA title will be defended on an NXT show following the Joe Hendry title defense against Williams at Battleground last month.
“Today is the day. I have worked my entire life for these moments and I will prove that I am who I say I am,” Santana wrote on X, adding that failure is not an option, never has been, and never will be.
“Tonight I fight for myself. I fight for TNA. I fight for my city and culture. But most of all, I fight for my little girl who will be watching her papi at home, live his dreams. And know that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. TONIGHT. WE FIGHT,” he continued.
Other matches announced for the broadcast so far are Myles Borne vs Charlie Dempsey with the stipulation that if Borne wins, he’s free of No Quarter Catch Crew, and Chase U vs DarkState in a six-man tag match.
