The WWE 24/7 championship officially done

The 24/7 title has been officially declared dead just a few days after Nikki Cross won it from Dana Brooke and then threw it in the trash can, missing, and breaking it into pieces on the concrete floor.

The WWE.COM website lists the 24/7 championship of having a run from 2019 to 2022.

The title was introduced by WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley on the May 20, 2019 edition of Monday Night Raw and had similar rules of the Hardcore title, where it could be defended anytime, anywhere, as long as a WWE referee is present.

The inaugural champion was Titus O’Neil and on day one, the title had three different champions. It was defended in all corners of the globe, even mid-air on a flight and during a wedding.

The likes of R-Truth, Drake Maverick, Akira Tozawa, and others made it fun with several skits but after 195 different title switches, it was time to say goodbye to the 24/7 title.

R-Truth holds the most reigns with 53 and a combined 415 days as champion. Dana Brooke had 15 and so did Tozawa, but Brooke last longer with a total of 335 days as champion.

Celebrities, backstage interviewers, referees, and even Knox County mayor Glenn Jacobs all can be called 24/7 champions.
