The Miz recently spoke with hosts Danny Murphy and Evan Real on SiriusXM’s Page Six Radio.
During the interview, The Miz talks about his friendships with Jason and Travis Kelce, a sweet moment he witnessed during a golf tournament with them, and what makes Travis’s personality so magnetic.
The Miz also shares that one of his daughters gave up on watching him wrestle because he didn’t win, and he talks about his two-year losing streak and what the future could bring for him.
The Miz Raves About Friendship With Travis & Jason Kelce
Evan Real: You are maybe golf buddies with Travis Kelce. Is that true?
The Miz: Golf buddy. Yeah. I mean we’re both from Cleveland. And I’ve known Travis for, god, I would say like 15 years maybe. I mean he was always pretty big, right? But before this mega stardom happened, and I can tell you this, the same guy I met 15 years ago is the same guy I see each and every time I go to the American Century Championship and play golf with him. Him and Jason. I’ll give you a story about Jason. So, I was at the Masters and you know, no phones, no nothing. You’re not allowed to have anything out there. And so, when we were there, I was like, I saw Jason. I was like, “Hey man, what’s going on?” And a kid came up to him, a bigger kid was like, “Hey, do you have any advice for me?” And he goes, “Let me see your stance.” Now, Jason could have said, “Hey, kid. Here, here’s an autograph, you know, whatever you want.” But Jason sat there and like Rory McIlroy’s on the tea and he’s like, “All right, kid. Show me your stance.” and Jason got down with him and showed him for like 15 minutes different maneuvers, different ways. This kid’s maybe 10, 11 years old. Like, think about that. That’s Cleveland for you. That’s being raised in Cleveland because that just reminded me of all my buddies back home. Kind of how I feel I hope I am towards kids when they ask me. I mean, that kid will never forget that moment for the rest of his life. And Travis is the same exact way. Same energy, same positive. when you’re around him, you just feel positive. You just want to smile because that’s just the type of energy he brings. So, I got like when Taylor Swift fell for him, I was like, “Oh, I get it.” Everyone does.
