Survivor Series 2015 pay-per-view results

Here are the results of the 2015 Survivor Series, which took place at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

A traditional 5 on 5 Survivor Series match started things off in the pre-show featuring Goldust, The Dudley Boyz, Neville and Titus O’Neil vs Stardust, The Miz, Bo Dallas, and The Ascension. The faces nearly cleaned house with only Neville being eliminated and Stardust was the last man standing for the heels. Goldust, Dudley Boyz, and Titus O’Neil were the survivors, winning the match.

Lilian Garcia sang the U.S. national anthem and surely this only made it on the pay-per-view because of the ISIS threat at the Survivor Series. Michael Cole announced that 14,481 fans are inside the Philips Arena.

The first semi final match started the pay-per-view with Roman Reigns vs Alberto Del Rio. Reigns was booed quite a bit as soon as his entrance hit . The ending came when Reigns hit the Superman punch and went for a spear but Del Rio caught him with a superkick. Reigns kicked out at the last millisecond and then fans chanted “Si, si, si” as Del Rio went for the armbreaker. Reigns countered that and powerbombed him but did not manage to pin him. Del Rio then locked in the armbreaker but Reigns powered out and then hit the spear for the pin.

Backstage interview with Roman Reigns. Ambrose interrupts and Reigns says that both of them will be fighting for the championship later tonight. Kevin Owens then interrupts and reminds Reigns how he always comes up short when it comes to the WWE title. Ouch. He says tonight it’s the Kevin Owens show. Fans love Owens.

The second semi final match was up next featuring Kevin Owens vs Dean Ambrose. Owens got a good pop from the crowd. The two had a pretty good match and a cool spot saw Owens hitting a modified suplex from the top rope which was followed by a massive clothesline from Ambrose. “This is awesome” chants. Owens F5’s Ambrose on the announce table and then tries the Pop Up Powerbomb twice but on both occasions Ambrose escapes, hits the Dirty Deeds and pins Owens to advance to the final.

The traditional 5 on 5 Survivor Series match which WWE had no participants announced is next. The faces team included Ryback, Lucha Dragons and The Usos. The heels consisted of The New Day, Sheamus, and King Barrett. Woods has a new hair-do looking like Marc Mero. Yep. During the match, The Usos and The Lucha Dragons flew together as all the heels were on the outside and then Ryback did a crossbody from the top rope onto everyone! Wade Barrett was eliminated first by Sin Cara. Jimmy Uso was pinned by Xavier Woods. Sheamus hits the Brogue Kick on Sin Cara, eliminating him. Jey Uso pins Big E after a splash from the top. After the Big E elimination, Woods and Kofi accompanied Big E to the back, leaving Sheamus alone in the ring versus Kalisto, Ryback, and Jey Uso. Ryback hit the Shellshock on Sheamus and wins the match for his team. Kofi and Xavier never came back out.

The WWE Divas title match featuring Charlotte vs Paige is next on the card. The two had a long match that went back and forth. Towards the end of the match, Paige went on the barricade and reminded everyone – again – that this is her house and Charlotte also went up and speared her. Then she threw her back in the ring and locked in the Figure 8 and Paige tapped out with Charlotte retaining the Divas title.

Prince Pretty and Summer Rae along with the selfie and iPhone walked out for their match against Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler came out with a new jacket and pants with a “DZ Crew” logo on them. Breeze held up his own against the more experienced Ziggler however the NXT alumni won the match after hitting the Unprettier. Summer Rae joined the celebration in the ring afterward and took a couple of selfies with Breeze to commemorate the victory.

25 years ago today, The Undertaker walked out with Brother Love for his WWE debut and the rest was history. This time it’s not Brother Love accompanying him but his on-screen TV brother, Kane, for the match against the Wyatt Family. The “gong” goes and as smoke fills up the arena, Kane hits his special powers to light everything on fire. A large casket drops down from the ceiling showing the many faces of The Undertaker throughout his 25 year career as fire lights up the Undertaker signs on the sides and blue lasers shoot up for extra effects.

Erick Rowan hits the ring quickly but Taker and Kane take him out with a chokeslam. Luke Harper and Bray Wyatt will be wrestling this match with Braun Strowman standing outside. The Undertaker walked the rope for some old school on Harper as fans chanted “you still got it.” The U.S. announce table got some action earlier on as Strowman threw Kane and cleared everything on the table. Cole noted that he was a bit too close to Kane for his liking after Kane flew on the table. Hah! The Spanish announce table didn’t escape carnage though as Taker and Kane chokeslammed Braun Strowman through it, getting the biggest pop of the night and “Yes!” chants. Back in the ring, the duo chokeslammed Bray and Harper in sync and then the Undertaker hit the Tombstone on Luke Harper for the pin. Everyone at the Philips Arena gives a standing ovation for 25 years of awesomeness. Kane respectfully left the ring to leave the Undertaker alone to absorb the standing ovation.

The main event for the WWE World Heavyweight title and the final of the tournament closed the show as former Shield members Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns wrestled for the gold. Fans booed every time Reigns went for his Superman punch and spear with Ambrose the clear fan favorite. Roman Reigns hit a massive spear after Ambrose ran the turnbuckle and pinned him for the title win. Ambrose congratulated Reigns as confetti filled the arena and fireworks lit up the Philips Arena.

After all this, Triple H’s music hit the speakers and he came out and congratulated Roman Reigns. HHH offered to shake his hand but Reigns speared him and then he turned around and Sheamus, out of nowhere, hit the Brouge Kick on Reigns and cashes in his Money In The Bank briefcase. Reigns kicked out, barely, but then Sheamus hit another Brouge Kick and pinned the newly crowned champion to win the WWE World Heavyweight title. Sheamus celebrates in the ring with Triple H as the new king for the Authority.
