Steve Cutler released from WWE

Steve Cutler, who was part of The Forgotten Sons, has been released by WWE. In a short statement on WWE.COM, the company said, “WWE has come to terms on the release of Steve Cutler. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

Acknowledging his firing on Twitter, Cutler wrote, “Unfortunately, today I was released. It was shocking, to say the least. But, I am excited about the future and all the possibilities in front of me. Thanks for your continued support. 90 days…the countdown begins.”

After a run in NXT, Cutler and his tag team partners Jaxson Ryker and Wesley Blake made their debut on Smackdown but were taken off television after a few political tweets from Ryker stirred the pot, drawing anger from his fellow peers.

Cutler then was teamed with Blake and returned to the blue brand in December, aligning themselves with King Corbin while Ryker was shipped to Raw where he is now aligned with Elias.

He has been working with WWE since 2014, spending most of his time with the NXT brand.
