Smackdown to air on FOX Sports 1 tonight instead of FOX

Smackdown will air on FS1 tonight starting in its usual time slot of 8PM ET rather than FOX due to the MLB World Series game taking precedence.

The last time Smackdown was on FS1 – in October 2019 – it did not end up well as only just over 800,000 viewers tuned in to watch the show. Smackdown will return on the regular FOX network next week.

No matches have been announced yet although two segments are being advertised on WWE.COM. The first is Roman Reigns who will reveal the consequences for what he’s promised will be the highest stakes in WWE history in his Hell In A Cell match against his cousin Jey Uso this Sunday. The second segment is Law & Otis, with Otis representing himself in “court” against The Miz over his Money In The Bank contract.

A special episode of WWE Backstage will air immediately following the conclusion of the show. No information was released about the one-night-only Backstage.
