Slater and Rhyno book tournament final place, opponents still to be decided

The Smackdown Tag Team title tournament has its first finalist as the team of Rhyno and Heath Slater eliminated The Hype Brows on last night’s Smackdown to advance to this Sunday’s finale.

Joining them were supposed to be American Alpha, however The Usos attacked Chad Gable and injured his leg, preventing them from participating in the final. On the Talking Smack WWE Network show following Smackdown, GM Daniel Bryan and Commissioner Shane McMahon announced that The Usos will take on The Hype Bros at Backlash with the winners advancing to the tournament final later in the night.

Heath Slater will also win a Smackdown contract if he manages to win the tag team titles with Rhyno.
