Shotzi received an NXT Women’s title shot during the tapings held yesterday for next week but she suffered an injury during her match against Lyra Valkyria and the match was stopped by the referee.

The match did not take long before it was halted after Shotzi injured her knee following a bad landing on the floor. Officials had to help Shotzi to the back.

NXT General Manager Ava then came out and issued an open challenge for anyone to come out and face the NXT Women’s champion, a challenge which was accepted by Lash Legend. Legend had just finished her match against Kelani Jordan before the main event started.

Shotzi’s NXT Women’s title match was set up during a non-televised live event this past weekend in Florida.
