Seth Rollins avoided – just nearly – a disaster of epic proportions on Monday night after he was almost impaled by the lowering cage during the final segment of Raw.

The near accident happened after Reigns threw Rollins out of the ring and the cage started to get lowered. Rollins tried to get in from the exact spot where the metal spike goes down to secure the cage to the ring but quickly realized he was going to get spiked and rolled out.

The lowering of the cage stopped momentarily and then continued when Rollins cleared the area with WWE ringside workers giving the thumbs up to lower and secure the cage to the ring.

Rollins eventually made it in by climbing the cage and flying off the top.
