Scott “Razor Ramon” Hall added to the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2014

Hey yo! The WWE Hall of Fame just got itself a bad guy! WWE announced yesterday that former WWE Intercontinental champion and founding member of the nWo Scott Hall will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame during the WrestleMania XXX weekend under the name of Razor Ramon.

The video that WWE put out for the Hall of Fame makes no mention of Hall’s career following his departure from WWE as Razor Ramon and it’s the character which is getting the nod.

The 55 year old began his wrestling career in 1984 wrestling for the National Wrestling Alliance before moving to the American Wresting Association and then World Championship Wrestling under the name of The Diamond Studd.

In WCW he was managed by his friend Diamond Dallas Page but his career there was short lived and joined the then-WWF one year later in 1992.

Wrestling as Razor Ramon, Hall spent 5 years in the WWE, winning the Intercontinental title and headlining a few pay-per-views, including the Royal Rumble in 1993 against Bret Hart.

In 1996, Hall, along with Kevin Nash, left WWE and started perhaps the biggest angle in professional wrestling, the nWo, along with Hulk Hogan in WCW.

Hall’s return to WCW last longer than the first outing this time around, four years to be exact, before leaving the company in 2000.

Hall moved back to WWE in 2002 along with Nash and Hogan to reprise their roles in the nWo but was fired that same year. His biggest match was against Steve Austin at WrestleMania X8 that year in the WWE.

Since leaving the WWE, he made several indy appearances and also spent a few years in TNA Wrestling. During his time away from wrestling, Hall had several alcohol and drug problems and was hospitalized several times.

Last year, DDP took him into his home along with Jake Roberts to rebuild his life. A fundraiser on Kickstarter raised over $100,000 to pay for surgery and dental work and to continue his rehabilitation process.
