There’s a wave of Scottish WWE Superstars who are ruling the company at the moment with five in total carrying a WWE or NXT UK championship.

Markus Coffey and Wolfgang – both from Glasgow – are the NXT UK Tag Team champions while Kay Lee Ray – born in Paisley – is the NXT UK Women’s champion. After this past weekend, Nikki Cross – also from Glasgow – joined them as WWE Women’s Tag Team title holder and Drew McIntyre – born in Ayr – won the big one from Brock Lesnar and became the WWE champion.

The five champs, all proudly flying the Scottish flag, represent the biggest non-North American block of champs at the same time in WWE history. Drew McIntyre also became the first British wrestler to win the WWE title.
