Santana Garrett rejoins WWE as coach at Performance Center

Santana Garrett, who wrestled for NXT until she was released in mid-2021, has returned to WWE and is now a coach at the WWE Performance Center.

Garrett announced the news herself via a tweet, showing a selfie wearing a WWE shirt and writing, “This is NOT a throwback…” and a wink emoji.

The 34-year old Florida native then explained more in detail about her new job in a post on Instagram.

“First day back and I’m in a class helping with new hires. These girls are less than three months in, and they are amazing,” she wrote. “Like, I think back to me three months in and I see these girls and I’m just like, ‘Oh my gosh, I had no chance.’ But then also, to be fair, I just learned how to put my own eyelashes on like a year ago. So, slow learner I guess.

She also thanked everyone for the overwhelming support she received after the tweet.

Garrett, who made her debut in 2009, wrestled for many promotions throughout her career including Impact Wrestling, Shine, Stardom, WOW, AEW, and many indie promotions.
