The Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament continued on NXT last night with the final two first-round matches.
In the first tournament match of the night, former champs Hank and Tank defeated Shido Ash and Viktor Zanov to advance to the second round and will now take on The Creed Brothers.
The second match was supposed to feature Tokyo Bad Boys vs Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux but Legacy and Van Dux were attacked by BirthRight in a backstage segment. William Regal suggested to NXT General Manager Robert Stone to send Lexis King and Charlie Dempsey as their replacement and King and Dempsey eventually defeated Tokyo Bad Boys to move on.
The duo will now face AAA Tag Team champions El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. and Galeno in the second round.
