Road Dogg and other NXT staff released from WWE

New year, new releases. It only took a few days into 2022 for WWE to drop the axe once again.

WWE has made several more releases from their Performance Center in Orlando according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Wrestling with WWE confirming the news with a statement.

“With the continued evolution of NXT 2.0, we’ve decided to part ways with some of the staff based in our Performance Center,” the statement read. “We thank them for their many contributions throughout the years and wish them the best.”

Among those cut according to Fightful is WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg, who was part of the group leading the black and gold brand along with Shawn Michaels and Triple H.

With Triple H’s absence, Michaels has been leading the charge but it looks like the trusted lieutenants that Triple H has relied on are getting the pink slip as the brand continues to move in a different direction.

More releases from NXT are expected with the old guard backstage getting the short end of the stick.
