Rhea Ripley becomes grand slam champion at 26 years old

Rhea Ripley made history last night becoming a grand slam champion, winning her fifth different WWE title in her short career.

At 26 years old, Ripley is now an NXT UK, NXT, RAW, Smackdown and Tag Team champion, and she did it all in the span of five years after joining the NXT UK brand in 2018. It’s an impressive achievement that was capped off with a WrestleMania co-main event victory last night against Charlotte Flair to win the Smackdown Women’s title.

Interviewed by Ryan Satin for FOX after the match, Ripley said she has so many emotions that she can’t put them into words at the moment. “It’s a wild ride,” Ripley said.

Ripley said that moving away from Australia at the age of 20, traveling the world to join WWE and living the dream was worth every sacrifice and now the biggest nightmare is passing through the TSA security checkpoints in airports with the title!

Ripley joked that she will retire after she loses her title which she envisions it might happen in 10 years or so.

“Sorry Roman, I’m breaking your streak,” she said while looking at the camera!

Triple H congratulated Ripley following her win, writing, “A championship battle for the ages. Welcome to the mountain top.”
