Rey Mysterio added to WWE Intercontinental title ladder match at WrestleMania 42

Rey Mysterio is going to WrestleMania after all.

The WWE Hall of Famer, who has been injured since the Royal Rumble, was Gunther’s original opponent on the show but following last night’s Raw, Mysterio has now been added to the ladder match for the WWE Intercontinental title.

The match was announced as a five-way but is now a six-way with Mysterio, champ Penta, Je’Von Evans, Dragon Lee, JD McDonagh, and Rusev.

Mysterio showed up on Raw after Penta, Lee, and Evans defeated Los Americanos in a six-man tag match, and said that their upcoming ladder match could end up one of the best matches in WrestleMania history.

The former champ said that last year he missed WrestleMania due to an injury he suffered the night before but this time, it’s WrestleMania which is missing Mysterio. He said that he talked to Adam Pearce and was added to the ladder match.

Penta welcomed Mysterio’s announcement and told him, “Let’s make history!”
