Shane McMahon let go from WWE

RingsideNews.com is reporting that Shane McMahon has been let go from WWE and will not be participating in either the Elimination Chamber nor WrestleMania.

The news follows a chaotic Royal Rumble where McMahon was one of the unofficial producers of the men’s Rumble match which underwent a ton of changes up until the last minute, largely with Shane changing ideas and trying to override his father.

Shane was not seen in a good light on Saturday and his constant changes, some of which to make him look good as well, created several backstage heat among other producers, creative writers, and even wrestlers.

McMahon was not an employee and had no other ties to the company except of a performer contract. RingsideNews.com adds that sources said that “Vince had no other choice but to send him home” following the weekend.

The creative team has also been instructed to move forward without having Shane in their plans. McMahon was set to be at Elimination Chamber and have a match at WrestleMania as well.

McMahon, who was supposed to be a regular on Raw from this week, was pushing for a program with Austin Theory leading up to WrestleMania and instead it was Theory who ended up being in the Elimination Chamber replacing McMahon.
