Reigns, Williams, and Ripley crowned new champions at WrestleMania 42 Sunday

Roman Reigns, Trick Williams, and Rhea Ripley were crowned new champions at WrestleMania 42, making it to a total of six title changes over two nights.

Trick was the first one to get some gold, defeating Sami Zayn for the WWE United States title. Williams, who was super over with the crowd at Allegiant Stadium, had Lil’ Yachty with him.

Rhea Ripley won the WWE Women’s title after overcoming Jade Cargill. Cargill had some help from Michin and B-Fab throughout the last part of the match but Iyo Sky came out to a massive pop to help her friend. Ripley delivered a Riptide to Cagill in a neatly-worked finish to secure the victory and then celebrated with Sky.

In the main event of the night, Roman Reigns returned to the top of the mountain after he beat CM Punk in the longest match of the two-night WrestleMania, clocking in at 34 minutes, to claim the WWE World Heavyweight title for the first time. This ended Punk’s 169-day reign as champion and it’s the first time in 742 days that Reigns has held WWE gold.

Penta was the only one who survived with his Intercontinental title during WrestleMania Sunday. Three title changes were also done yesterday.
