Raquel Rodriguez wins the WWE Women’s Intercontinental title on Raw

A new WWE Women’s Intercontinental champion was crowned last night on Raw as Sol Ruca’s reign came to a screeching halt thanks to Judgment Day’s Raquel Rodriguez.

The match had the interference of Liv Morgan, Roxanne Perez, and Iyo Sky, who came out to help their respective friends, but it was Rodriguez who had the last laugh after Perez smashed Ruca’s head into the ring post, followed by a Tejana Bomb from Raquel for the victory.

This is Rodriguez’s first singles title since winning the NXT Women’s title in 2021.

“No challenge too big, no setback too great,” wrote Triple H after the win. “Through blood, sweat, and tears, Raquel Rodriguez is the NEW @WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion.”

She joins fellow Judgment Day member Liv Morgan with a singles title while Dominik Mysterio is also the AAA Mega champion.

Ruca won the title at Clash in Italy at the end of May, defeating Becky Lynch.
