Ranallo urges fans to be better human beings after addressing Hana Kimura’s death on NXT

During the USA Network broadcast yesterday, NXT commentator Mauro Ranallo mentioned Hana Kimura, the 22-year-old Stardom Japanese wrestler who passed away on May 23 of an apparent suicide.

Ranallo made the note during Io Shirai’s entrance before the tag team match started.

“Speaking of social media, cyber bullying is never justified, let’s be better as members of the human race, rest in power joshi puroresu wrestling star Hana Kimura,” Ranallo said.

Shirai was with Kairi Sane when Sane called Stardom founder Rossy Ogawa after noting the tweet that resembled a suicide note appear on her Twitter feed.

Shirai also wore a black armband during the show in honor of Kimura.
