NXT WarGames returning in December

WarGames is returning in December but this time around without the Takeover name.

NXT announced yesterday that NXT WarGames 2021 will take place live on Sunday, December 5 and will be streaming on the WWE Network. During the promotion of the event, the name Takeover was not mentioned and the new logo released for the show does not have it either.

NXT has not held a Takeover show since August, with the last one being Takeover 36. That was the final Takeover before NXT was rebranded to NXT 2.0.

This will also be the first WarGames without The Undisputed Era being involved. The faction was featured in every WarGames event since WWE brought it back to NXT.
