Nikki Bella reveals she underwent ankle surgery in Birmingham, Alabama

Nikki Bella had no chance of getting cleared for WrestleMania yesterday as she revealed during the WrestleMania post-show that she underwent surgery in Birmingham, Alabama.

Bella fractured, tore, and sprained her ankle and in a video on her social media, showed the extent of her injury – a badly bruised ankle with stitches.

“It’s been a painful two weeks,” she said.

Nikki rolled her ankle during a match on Raw against Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair and she kept people guessing if she would be able to wrestle at Mania.

Bella was eventually replaced by the returning Paige and she and Brie won the tag team titles.
