Nigel McGuinness back on commentary for NXT UK

Nigel McGuinness is returning behind the commentary desk once again for NXT UK as the brand resumes television tapings according to Alex McCarthy of TalkSPORT.

McGuinness, who lent his voice for NXT, NXT UK, and 205 Live, was furloughed by WWE back in April as part of the coronavirus cost-cutting measures but is returning on the payroll with the relaunch of the NXT UK brand.

Just like what Beth Phoenix does, McGuinness will be doing his commentary remotely from his home in the United States while Andy Shepherd will be at ringside at the studio. Mauro Ranallo also did commentary remotely before he left the promotion.

The media were present for the first set of tapings on Tuesday and tapings continue today.

The usual suspects running the show are doing so remotely, a new way of doing business during a pandemic.

NXT UK returns with brand new episodes on September 17 on the WWE Network. All tapings are behind held at the BT Sport studios in London.
