NBA’s Karl-Anthony Towns, Jalen Brunson, and Tyrese Haliburton involved at Saturday Night’s Main Event

A couple of NBA stars helped with Saturday Night’s Main Event last night at Madison Square Garden, including two from the title-winning New York Knicks.

The first one to leave his mark was Karl-Anthony Towns, who came out from Danhausen’s cloning machine to a big pop from the NY crowd.

KAT assisted Danhausen in the No Disqualification match, chokeslamming JD McDonagh and then hitting another picture-perfect chokeslam on Dom Mysterio through a table. After Danhausen won the match against JD with the Triple D, the two celebrated in the ring much to delight of the fans.

Later in the main event of the show, Jalen Brunson of the Knicks came out with Roman Reigns so Madison Square Garden could acknowledge both of them. Reigns presented Brunson with a customized WWE World Heavyweight title belt replica and after the crowd acknowledged them, Seth Rollins’ theme song interrupted the festivities.

But Rollins didn’t come out, it was the Knicks’ arch nemesis, Tyrese Haliburton of the Indiana Pacers, who stepped out from Gorilla with a chair in hand. Haliburton and Brunson have some history on the court and in WWE as the two had a confrontation a few years ago on WWE TV.

Rollins did eventually come out through the stands to beat up on Reigns. He tried to curb stomp Reigns on a chair, but the Knicks star prevented that, allowing Reigns enough time toe recover and get the upper hand on Rollins with a Superman punch and spear. Both heels then got the hell outta dodge while Reigns and Brunson celebrated with the NBA Championship trophy and the WWE titles.
