Maria Kanellis defends her husband and says no apologies for her pregnancies

In a post on Instagram, Maria Kanellis clarified that it was only her husband who asked for his release and that she’s sticking around. Kanellis is pregnant and wouldn’t make sense to ask for her release now.

Maria said that family always comes first and she will love and support her husband no matter what. She also addressed those who questioned the timing of her pregnancies, the first one when she was just hired and the second one a few months ago when she was brought back on television. “I make no apologies for either of my pregnancies,” Maria wrote.

She also defended her husband for going to rehab although she said that WWE did not pay for it and he didn’t go to rehab when he was employed by WWE. “Mike’s addiction was from about September 2013-July 2017. We debuted in June 2017. He never took time off,” she added.

Her husband Mike publicly asked for his release in a message on Twitter saying he wants to work more dates, something which is not doable in the WWE at the moment. Mike is not even on the road with the company for non-televised live events and is only brought in for televised tapings.
