Kairi Sane alerted Stardom founder of Kimura’s suicidal social media post

Former NXT champion Kairi Sane said that she called Stardom founder Rossy Ogawa with Io Shirai immediately when she saw the suicide tweet from Hana Kimura.

“I was able to notice her tweet right away because it was afternoon in the United States,” Sane wrote in a tweet. “However…I didn’t make it in time,” she added, as Kimura was probably already dead by the time she was reached.

Sane and Shirai worked with Kimura when they were all at Stardom.

The Japanese wrestling scene was rocked with the announcement that 22-year-old Kimura died of an apparent suicide stemming from countless bullying on social media.
