Judgment Day implodes at SummerSlam

It was a particularly very bad night for the Judgment Day faction as it imploded in Cleveland.

Dom Mysterio was the first one to mess things up as he was actually in cahoots with Liv Morgan all along. Mysterio prevented Ripley from hitting Morgan with a chair, saying that she wouldn’t win the title with a DQ and then slid in the same chair for Morgan to use while he distracted the referee. Ripley ended up getting a second Oblivion on the chair, losing the match and the opportunity to win back the title she never lost in the first place.

After the match, Dirty Dom made out with Liv Morgan as a very angry Mami looked on from the ring.

In a backstage segment later, Damian Priest was livid for what happened and wanted to kill Mysterio, who was not there. He unloaded his frustrations on Finn Balor again, asking if he knew what the plan was. Balor said no and left.

Later in the show before his match, Priest apologized to Balor for accusing him of knowing Dom’s plans, but little did he know that he was also about to be double-crossed.

Towards the end of the World Heavyweight title match, Balor came out and helped Gunther put his leg on the ropes to break a pin. With Priest distracted due to Balor’s appearance and action, Gunther locked in a sleeper hold, then a powerbomb, and another sleeper before Priest passed out and a new champion was crowned.

It remains to be seen which side the other members will pick come Raw but one thing is for sure, Judgment Day as we know it is over!
