John Cena plugs WWE return on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon

Appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon via video to promote the movie F9, 16-time champ John Cena said he did not have his last wrestling match and cannot wait to have his next one.

Fallon said that there were rumors that he’s returning to the ring and Cena didn’t beat around the bush, confirming those rumors.

“Those rumors are true, I’ll definitely be returning to WWE…I just don’t know when,” Cena said. Fallon then brought up an Instagram post that Cena did back in May with the WWE logo.

Cena said that he was feeling nostalgic about WWE back then and some fans took it literally that he’s returning immediately.

John is rumored to be wrestling Roman Reigns in the main event of SummerSlam in August for the Universal title. He was last seen at WrestleMania 36 in a creative cinematic “match” against The Fiend.
