Jim Ross leaving WWE

In his latest podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross announced that he would be no longer part of the WWE family after his contract expires at the end of March.

Ross said that the decision came after he spoke to WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon and they mutually agreed that this is the way forward. After signing a new two-year deal, Ross wasn’t used much on WWE television and his last appearance was back at the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia last year.

JR told his listeners that he still wants to be a part of the world of professional wrestling and doesn’t think he will be without a job for long.

His last date as a WWE employee is March 29, meaning that he will be even missing the WrestleMania festivities. JR will be in the New York area for that weekend anyway with his one-man Slobberknocker show.
