Japanese broadcaster ABEMA airing final WWE show on September 29 as programming moving to Netflix

ABEMA, WWE’s broadcast partner in Japan, announced today that the TV rights agreement with WWE expires on September 30, 2026.

The final WWE broadcast on the streaming service will be the September 28 episode of Raw, which airs on September 29 in Japan.

ABEMA had the rights to all WWE programming for the past couple of years, including their own version of the WWE Network.

Japan will then join the rest of the world getting all their WWE content on Netflix as soon as the TV rights contract with ABEMA expires.

Japan was one of the handful of countries which still had its own media rights agreement in place after WWE moved to Netflix in January of last year.
