Gunther says that John Cena “tapped out like a little bitch” in heated Raw opening segment

A smiling Gunther basked in heel heat as fans inside the GIANT Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania showered him with boos, middle fingers, and “you suck” chants.

Opening the broadcast, Gunther came out to massive heat as the crowd was not thrilled to see him boasting about defeating John Cena.

“I did what I said I would do. I made John Cena give up,” Gunther said with boos drowning his voice out. “And when he gave up, he tapped out like a little bitch!”

Gunther teased leaving twice, but he came back once to the ring to pose on the turnbuckle and then returned to pose on the announcers desk.

The former WWE World Heavyweight champion was confronted by Raw General Manager Adam Pearce backstage, who told him that he was being an asshole and he could leave for the night.

Before he got in his car, AJ Styles was waiting for him and Gunther asked Styles if he had anything to say. Styles motioned for Gunther to get in the car and as he started to drive away, he stopped, rolled down the window, and did the “You can’t see me” hand sign to Styles as the crowd continued to boo.
